A definate and must-have Krautrock album from 1971!
In the early days My Solid Ground were a little known hard rock and psychedelic band, who just made the one album. Today this album is amongst the most sought-after originals in the heavier Krautrock genre.
Recorded by Dieter Dierks, (Nektar, Amon Düül, Tangerine Dream, Guru Guru etc.).
My Solid Ground were amongst the most obscure of acts on bacillus records. The band originated in 1968 from the town Rüsselheim, establishing themselves as a psychedelic hard-rock band, unbefitting their name they were never a solid or stable band, thanks to a lot of line-up changes.
Musiclovers more into solid hard rock of the 60s or 70s may discover influences of Deep Purple and even Black Sabbath. Limited blue vinyl pressing!

MESSAGE are similar in sound to NEKTAR though slightly heavier, darker, jazzier and rawer.
Originally born as a German-British band, the music of MESSAGE oscillates between a substantial heavy rock and psychedelic rock. “From Books And Dreams” was recorded under the direction of the famous musical engineer Dieter Dierks, who recorded many “Krautrock” Bands between ’69 and ’75 (Nektar, Amon Düül, Tangerine Dream, Guru Guru etc.). The result sounds very melodic, with a ravishing and an accomplished lyrical sense of composition. Message are delivering impressive, extended, mainly instrumental heavy/ space rock tracks which can be compared (in some parts) to NEKTAR's first effort.
